A few weeks ago we hosted our first ever luxury style event in conjunction with Yves Saint Laurent. It was amazing to collaborate with the french fashion house whom I absolutely adore.
To present this evening was one of the highlights in our Yellow Button Style Series. I was delighted to have YSL make-up artist Corinna Wilmshurst by my side who enlightened our guests on the cult products, ‘looks’ and how to achieve them. Throughout the evening, all of our guests (whilst sipping on Laurent-Perrier Champagne) were ‘made up’ by her magic hands.
The night was all about luxury as we discussed the history of Yves Saint Laurent. Yves life, his influences, iconic pieces from some of his first collections (which still are so relevant today) and current ‘lust have’ items. We then finished with head designer Stefano Pilati’s final FW2012 runway show.
At the end of the night guests had the option of trying on clothes from some of our most talented Australian designers, YSL shoes and bags and then went home with some beautiful goodies including cult YSL products Rouge Pur Couture # 41 and Touche eclat. An additional YB goodie bag included products from Paul Mitchell, The Bronzing Boutique and gift vouchers from Viktoria and Woods and some beautiful fresh blooms.
A huge thank you to everyone involved to make the evening so special. Laurent-Perrier Champagne, Bassike, Bianca Spender, Carla Zampatti, Viktoria & Woods, David Jones, Watson x Watson, The Bronzing Boutique, Paul Mitchell, Neuw Denim, Salt Catering, Unspoken, Tessa Blooms and of course Yves Saint Laurent.
In addition to blogging my original passion and the reason I created my business Yellow Button is my love of styling. Our team offers personal and commercial styling, presenting, hosting events and style consulting services.
About Yellow Button Style Series:
When day turns to night the lights in our office (Berrins) still burns brightly as we host our Style Events. Intimate groups where 8 – 12 people participate. We present a series where we discuss season trends, how to take runway inspired looks to the street, share tricks for dressing for different body shapes in a conversational, practical and digital format, all whilst drinking champagne, chomping on delicious food and then the option to buy pieces at the end of the night. (And yes, it always ends up with the guests dressing up and more often than not taking home some new items to wear too.)
