I caught up with Sarah-Jane Clarke, one half of the Sass and Bide duo, for a quick chat to see how things are going behind the scenes before their collection hits the catwalk.
Claire: Where are you right now?
Sarah-Jane: At shoot digital (studio 4) 23 E 4th St, New York prepping for our show (which involves casting/ hair and make up trials/ fittings/alternations/ working out seating)
Claire: How many days until show time?
Sarah-Jane: Just two!
Claire: How are you feeling right at this moment?
Sarah-Jane: Organised chaos.
Claire: Can you give a hint of what we can expect from your collection and/or show?
Sarah-Jane: An exploration of spirit and beauty, where universal forces reign supreme. You’ll see botanical themed embroidered pieces, along with fixed and oversized patterns seen through plaids, checks and stripes. Embellishment takes on a new form where experimental techniques are explored that are purposeful and refined. Hues of french navy, antique gold, nougat and chartreuse celebrate the freedom and independence of the collection.
Claire: How will you celebrate once the show is over?
