NET-A-PORTER.COM, the world’s premier online luxury fashion retailer hosted a cocktail reception and runway show in celebration of Audi Hamilton Island Race Week.
Guests enjoyed drinks by the beach at sunset, complimented by the ambient tunes of DJ Alice Quidington, before taking their seats poolside for the online retailer’s first stand-alone runway show globally.
The ocean view of the Whitsunday’s formed the perfect backdrop for the presentation of new season collections from NET-A-PORTER’s premium designer offering. Guests marvelled at pieces form international labels Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney, Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Eres, Lanvin and Australia’s own Zimmermann, Lover and Sass & Bide.
The event reflects NET-A-PORTER’s recognition and support of Australia as an important, growing market. The event is not only a chance for NET-A-PORTER to celebrate Australia’s unique design talent and natural affinity with the resort category, but to connect with its savvy and stylish customer at work and at play.
Closing the show was Nicole Trunfio in a silk slip evening gown by Michael Lo Sordo. The Sydney-based designer’s eponymous label launches on the site from September.
