Celebrity Kitchens with Incredible Style


How you design your kitchen is a reflection of your personality. Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent created a warm and family-friendly space, while Chrissy Teigen and John Legend made sure theirs had plenty of space for meal prep and entertaining. We’ve gathered our favourite celebrity kitchens from AD archives to inspire you, including spectacular spaces in the homes of Ellen DeGeneres, Neil Patrick Harris, Martha Stewart, and Ellen Pompeo. From New York to Los Angeles, Milan to Normandy, each kitchen features design with some serious star power.


At the Manhattan apartment of designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, the kitchen is outfitted with cabinetry and butchery-block countertops crafted by Fanuka; the isaldn is clad in unlacquered brass and topped with Breccia Imperiale marble from Artistic Tile. The marble shelves rest on brackets from Liz’s Antique Hardware; the subway tile is from Home Depot, the painting of Saint Peter is an 18th-century work from Peru and the barstools are vintage American.


Tracy Pollan and Michael J. Fox’s New York City kitchen, designed by Gomez Associates Inc., features classic schoolhouse light fixtures, Shaker-style cabinetry, and stainless-steel and marble countertops.


At fashion editor Nina Garcia’s Manhattan home, architecture firm Aparicio+Associates installed a stainless-steel backsplash, which accents the kitchen’s Boffi cabinetry and sink fittings.


Giorgio Armani’s kitchen in his Switzerland residence, conceived in collaboration with Molteni, boasts mahogany detailing and Venetian plaster.


Artist Anh Duong’s kitchen in her Hamptons home by Daniel Romualdez Architects features an airy gabled ceiling.


In Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s Beverly Hills kitchen, a custom-made glass display case stores tableware. The range is by Wolf, the rugs are antique, and the rustic floor is crafted of reclaimed teak beams from China.


Architect Stephen Samuelson fashioned kitchen cabinetry from 19th-century Nuristani oak panels for Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Malibu property. Interior decorator Juduth lance designed the interiors.


At Ali Wentworth and George Stephanopoulos’s Manhattan apartment, which was designed by Michael S. Smith, the kitchen’s cooktop and hood are by Wolf.


At George Clooney’s Mexican villa – which is part of a Legorreta + Legorreta-designed compound he shares with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber – the Henrybuilt kitchen is appointed with a Viking cooktop and cabinetry faced in parota wood.


Antique Tunisian tile from Exquisite Surfaces makes a lively blacksplash in Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady’s Los Angeles kitchen, which interior design firm Joan Benke & Assoc. appointed with Formations pendant lights, marble countertops from Compas Architecturl Stone, custom-made alder cabinetry, an oak island, and a Wolf range. The architecture is by Landry Design Group.



Hotelier Jeff Klein and movie producer John Goldwyn enlisted Madeline Stuart & Assoc. to rework the interiors of their Hollywood Hills house. The kitchen is equipped with pendant lights from BK Antiques, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a Blanco sink with Kallista fittings, and a Viking range.


At Jillian and Patrick Dempsey’s Malibu, California, home devised by Estee Stanley Interior Desing, the kitchen features a concrete sink and countertops as well as a Wolf range and a Best hood.


For the Manhattan apartment of designer Gilles Mendel and Kylie Case , David Mann of MR Architecture + Decor conceived a high-contrast kitchen, which includes a Sicis mosaic-tile backsplash, a Samsung ultra thin LED television, a Sub-Zero refrigerator with bespoke lacquer panels.


Martyn Lawrence Bullard designed the kitchen Sir Elton John and David Furnish’s Beverly Hills residence with white cabinetry and Corian counters, which are offset by splashes of colour from the 1960s Venini light fixture and vases by Lino Tagliapietra, Venini, and Steven Weinberg.



Bette Midler’s New York City penthouse, which she shares with husband Martin von Haselberg, was decorated with Fernando Santangelo. In the dining area, John Derian Co. plates occupy a shelf above a Roger Herman painting. Frederick Fisher crafted the cabinetry; the ruffled light fixates were picked up in Paris, the neoclassical painted chairs are Swedish antiques, and the wood table was custom made by Architectural Furniture.


Actress Julianna Margulies worked with designer Vicente Wolf to devise her Manhattan apartment. Specially crafted steel shelves are suspended above the island and a pair of Design Within Reach barstool in the kitchen. The backsplash is reverse-painted glass, the range and hood are by Viking, and the sink is by Blanco, with fittings by Grohe.


At the Greenwich, Connecticut, estate of former Sony executive Tommy Mottola and his wife, pop singer and actress Thalia, interiors firm Katch I.D. equipped the kitchen with a trio of circa-1930 Czech lights from Ann-Morris, cabinetry by Lifetime Design, a range by Wolf, and sink fittings by Michael S. Smith for Kallista.


The wainscot in Martha Stewart’s Maine kitchen is made of vintage Pewabic tiles; the antique fishmonger’s table against the far wall is from Ann-Morris.


At Adam Levine’s Hollywood Hills house, designer Mark Haddawy created a stainless-steel kitchen with a table by Florence Knoll and a set of Arne Jacobsen chairs. The vintage light fixture is by Stilnovo, the espresso machine at right is by Miele, the wine cooler below it is by Viking, the sink fittings are by Dornbracht, and the range is by Thermador.


Actor Gerard Butler worked with architect Alexander Gorlin and film designer Elvis Restaino on his loft in Manhattan. The kitchen’s cabinetry and backsplash were fashioned from leftover flooring materials.


For Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka’s New York City townhouse, interior designer Trace Lehnhoff handled the renovation in collaboration with the architecture firm Povero & Company. Holly Hunt pendant lights are suspended above the Caesarstone-top island in the kitchen, which is equipped with a Wolf range and hood.


The interiors of director Michael Bay’s Los Angeles residence were realized by designer Lorraine Letendre, with additional work by decorator Lynda Murray. The kitchen is outfitted with Boffi cabinetry and countertops and a Wolf wall oven and cooktop; the stools are by Matteograssi.


At Dee and Tommy Hilfiger’s Miami-area estate, decorated with the help of Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Willy Rizzo–style acrylic stools, cushioned in Mongolian lamb’s wool, gather around the kitchen’s Caesarstone island. The Robert Sonneman chandelier is 1970s, the cabinetry and hood are by Aran Cucine, the ovens and coffeemaker are by Miele, and the cooktop is by Gaggenau.


Ellen Pompeo’s dream kitchen in Los Angeles, designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard, includes a La Cornue range, oven, and cabinetry and a Carrara-marble backsplash. The pendant lights are from Treillage, the custom-made pot rack is by Bullard, and the sink and fittings are by Waterworks.


Renovated and decorated with Studio Natalia Bianchi, the boat-inspired kitchen in entrepreneur and designer Lapo Elkann’s Milan apartment is anchored by a teak-top island and outfitted with a refrigerator in a custom striped finish. Model Ferraris parade across the top of the cabinets.
