Anne Hathaway dropped $2.55 million on a two-bed, two-bath co-op for sale in New York, NY, on the Upper West Side. The actress’s new slice of Manhattan luxury is located on an infamous block of Neo-Georgian mansions built by the Clark family. Built in 1902, the building is just a block from Central Park. Now we know why a 1,200-square-foot apartment can fetch more than $2 million!
Anne’s perfect penthouse has a sunny layout. A spacious living room has custom cabinetry, custom lighting, and a stereo system, in case she feels like singing “I Dreamed a Dream” karaoke-style. Open the French doors, and you’re led onto the spacious planted terrace overlooking the rest of the Upper West Side. The dining area flows into the kitchen, which has (wait for it!) 18-foot ceilings, extensive counter space and cabinets, plus wine storage.
A hallway leads from the main area to the two bedrooms. The second bedroom could function as a library, but since Anne and her husband, Adam Shulman, are expecting their first child in just a few months, we’re guessing that second bedroom will be a nursery. Both bedrooms have skylights and planting balconies as well as renovated bathrooms. With hardwood flooring throughout, plenty of storage, and the luxury of a gym, there’s no way any tenant could be Miserables with this penthouse as their home.
